A frog living in water cannot but enjoy some of that water....in reference to man entrusted with money.

To hold the mouth of a speaker is mindless And reaping of weeds is endless.

If you dont know to talk shut your mouth. Silence is golden when one
does not know how to speak.

The foolish man sets his home on fire , to destroy the rats that infest his house.

The cat to act as surety to the rat such sureties cannot be depended upon as sooner or later they are sure to take advantage of it.

The God Ganesh gets annoyed if his ridding animal – the mouse is beaten. If those in association with big people are troubled, those big people take it as a personal affront.

The rat has gone to Malacca islands and returned in no way wiser.
This is in reference to persons who brag about their wisdom,

simply because they have visited foreign parts.

Having paid money for the ferry to cross the river, one is obliged to come

across swimming. Having paid the hotel charges, one has to go on an
empty stomach.

Tarrum marunk gel’le aile, pott marunk gel’le ieunk na.
The men who had gone to load the ship with cargo have returned,

but the sailors who have gone on the ship as servants have not returned.
It is easier to fill the ship Than the belly.

Te poder mele, te undde kobar zale/Te firngi gele, te undde kabar zale.
The Portuguese have gone and the bread is no more. The days no more.
